Work for Big Sky Backcountry Guides

Based out of Bozeman and Big Sky, BSBG is southwest Montana's premier ski guide service and backcountry resource. Our team of guides and educators offer day tours, yurt trips at Bell Lake Yurt, avalanche education, wilderness ski traverses, and incredible international adventures. We've been featured in National Geographic Adventure, Powder, Backcountry, Skiing, SKI, Mountain, and Big Life magazines, and are regularly ranked among the top huts and guide services in North America.

As guides, our mission is to provide safe, rewarding, and immensely enjoyable backcountry ski and snowboard experiences and unmatched client care in some of the wildest and most remote parts of Montana and the world at large. Our season runs from December 1st to May 1st, and full-time guides can expect to work 4-5 days per week on average. We are one of the largest providers of avalanche education in Montana, and all guides are also instructors—prior teaching experience is preferred. Pay is very competitive, and DOE. Our guide team is typically kept small to ensure everyone has plenty of work, and that your winter is as profitable as it is fun. All guides are W2 employees covered by worker’s compensation insurance and BSBG liability insurance—we do not work with independent guides, guest guides, or contractors.
