Bell Lake Yurt
Go Ahead, Make Yourself at Home
Bell Lake Yurt is Montana's favorite backcountry destination, where comfort is the name of the game. Our 20-foot diameter custom yurt is tucked amidst groves of mature spruce and whitebark pine trees at 8,500 feet, and provides a uniquely cozy winter retreat with exceptional access to thousands of acres of backcountry ski terrain. Inside, there's plenty of space for up to eight guests and two guides to stretch out, relax, and stare at the 2,000-foot couloirs spilling from the summit of Branham Peak just outside the front door.
Designed originally as family homes for the nomadic tribes of the Mongolian steppe, yurts are remarkably sturdy, warm, and efficient--and Bell Lake Yurt is no exception. A five-foot diameter clear dome on the roof channels plenty of natural light and warmth, while a crackling woodstove and well-insulated walls and ceiling hold the heat, even through Montana’s coldest snaps. With electric lights, memory-foam mattresses, hot water, a library full of books, games, and puzzles, and an always-delightful menu, Bell Lake Yurt is far from roughing it. Experience it for your self!

Terrain: Welcome to Your Playground
Ride granite-walled couloirs and hanging faces, glide through perfectly-gladed whitebark pine forest, lay tracks down a wide-open alpine bowl, or go for a long, multi-basin tour and cover some ground. Anywhere you go, the views are as impressive as the skiing.
With an exclusive permit to over 14,000 remote acres and dozens of summits reaching over 10,000 feet just out the front door, Bell Lake Yurt not only produces consistently great snow, but gives you options to explore in any conditions. Stormy? We have great tree skiing. High avalanche hazard? There are tons of lower-angle, safer options. Sunny and crisp, with a foot of fresh? Let’s get after it!
And don't forget: BSBG knows these mountains like no one else, and can get you to the best snow and terrain faster than you can say "faceshot." Here’s a taste of what’s in store.
