1 Day Field Session

January 11, 2020 (8am-5pm)

Avalanche rescue is the most critical skill we hope you never need to use. But if you do, having the knowledge, skill, and confidence to execute an effective rescue can be the difference between life and death. Avalanche Rescue Fundamentals is an intensive, one day course that will take place 100% in the field. It adheres to American Avalanche Association guidelines for the 8-hour Avalanche Rescue course.

This course is a prerequisite for all ongoing avalanche education, including Recreational Level 2 and Professional Level 1 courses, and highly recommended for anyone who travels in the backcountry.

Here's what people are saying:

“Being in the real backcountry rather than lift-served terrain made it far more real, and I learned a LOT. Highly recommend.

“The Bell Lake Yurt courses are an incredible value. WAY better than the town-based course I took before. A great experience!

“The small group size and super personable instructors really made me comfortable asking questions.

“Very well-organized and professional—and the setting can’t be beat!
